OUR PHILOSOPHY
We endeavor to breed Lusitano horses specifically for dressage, though our horses may easily excel at other sports as well. We feel that a quiet and gentle nature is equally important as good conformation. We select our breeding stock with this in mind. Stallions are chosen for their calm, willing temperament and their suitability for dressage.

They are also selected to compliment each mare's strengths and weaknesses. It is important that we meet the stallions in person to assess their movement and temperament. This, of course, involves extensive travel sometimes, but it is well worth it. We have recently imported breeding stock from Brazil and are breeding to stallions, both in the US and abroad, who are succeeding in the dressage arena.

OUR GOALS
We breed Lusitanos to be light, graceful, kind and reliable riding partners for their owners. We are active promoters and supporters of this breed with Barbara currently serving on the Board of Directors of the IALHA. It is important that the horse and owner are well suited to each other. For that reason, we prefer to meet prospective buyers so

that the horse/owner relationship can be assessed by all. We want our horses to find safe and happy homes and owners to find lifetime partners. We are active promoters of this breed; whether they be pure Spanish or Lusitano (Portuguese) or even a mixture of both. We also see the benefits of crossing this breed with others to produce an exceptional sport horse. A good horse is a good horse, no matter what its pedigree. We are members of the IALHA and North West Andalusian Horse Association (NWAHA). All foals are registered with the IALHA; even the half-breds.
